Ron Fleckman, has been President of Cyrus Homes, Inc. for over 20 years. Starting from $0 in sales, the company grew to $40 Million in Sales.  His history has included the raising of investor dollars in excess of $75 million.

The company’s last project was considered to be one of the greenest in the State of Illinois and exceeded all LEED requirements for a Platinum rating. Its innovations involved utilizing Geothermal Heat Pumps, to recycling over 95% of the materials on what was previously a lumber yard, as well as using clean insulation materials and non VOC paints and flooring materials.

Mr. Fleckman has a strong commitment to reducing carbon emissions and reducing the carbon foot print related to new construction.  As a businessman he understands the importance of these efforts to the bottom line and knows that new technology has to make sense economically in order for it to succeed.

He’s become prominent in the Green Energy movement and has been  a speaker at National Green Builder’s conference, where he presented the plans for a Laboratory Community that would become the most environmentally advanced community in the country.

He has been involved in his community serving on the Boards of several not for profits and served as President of the local Home Builders Association  for several years and was awarded the prestigious “Builder of the Year” Award in 1993 and 1996.

Mr. Fleckman and his wife reside in the north shore suburbs of Chicago and have two grown children.
